Highbank's Trans Am Series Car Sets
« on: 03/17/15, 09:50 AM »

Here's the link to my finished car set representing the 1985 Bendix Brakes Trans Am Series on the ASA90 mod (cts physics)

Have to once again thank "skot71" for his wonderful Corvette Template and "DawsonvilleBill9" for getting his "7 Eleven" logo to me.

I hope that some of y'all will find this something of interest.

The file is sorta big as the cars are all 2048 and the crews 1024, I just hate blurry cars...

I'm not much of a road race fan.  All the tracks I've ever been to are ovals.  I gotta say though, you have done some OUTSTANDING work here!!!!  I'm proud my Corvette template is a small part of this.  Well done, well done!!

Your template was actually perfect, I had made an '80s template myself, Not quite as "plush" as yours but the two were just right because both gens of the Vette were used so they could both be in the set. Perfect. Love you template, thanks for throwing in.

Little preview and a progress report on the 2003 MotoRock Trans Am Set I'm working on...three cars done and counting, had a fourth done but it turned out that the photos I was working from were miss labeled and were from another year...that's the way it goes with painting retro sets...

Pictured above are the #75 Tim Cowen, 33 Boris Said, and 99 Paul Menard Mustangs

Thanks, I have to admit to the fact that I'm less excited about this set, I just think I liked the older mod and the older cars...BUT I will finish what I started and I know it'll probably get better as I get deeper into the research and learn more about these drivers and the stories of the 2003 season, that makes it better for me...

Not sure I'll let this lie as I just don't buy this Camaro on the Corvette model using Phil Wardog's template. I just see a Corvette with an odd front...

There you go...nothing special back there.

The issue for me is that it's a great Corvette, so great you can't see past the cars shape. Or I should say I'm struggling to see past it...

I abolutely see your point... there is a few camaros in the tptcc set that I have that do not look like that... is there a way of converting?
