|Maynard Finds 3rd Checkers of the Season in RGRL Outlaws|

It was two time winner Aaron Maynard who led the 11 car field to the green flag at Myrtle Beach in the RGRL EZRacesite.com Outlaw Late Models Series this week. Maynard didn’t waste any time opening up a lead, but an early miscue caused him to get loose and spin his car in turn four.
Brian Peters inherited the lead on the ensuing restart and would hold the top spot until the caution flew once again with Brian Roberts losing the handle on his racecar, and Peter Glover inadvertently looped his racecar in an attempt to avoid Roberts. Brian Peters continued to hold the point while the battle for the second spot heated up between Matthew Spinks and Steven Littrell.
Si Upton brought out the next caution when he got sideways and collected Travis Wright. Peters sustained the lead as the race went green once more, Danny Bigelow then brought out the next caution when he spun on lap 30.
Peters led once again as the race went green, but got some unwanted pressure from the drivers behind him. Derek Lacey moved past Peters into the lead and brought Aaron Maynard, who had rebounded nicely from his earlier miscue and Travis Wright with him.
Lacey then relinquished the lead to Maynard a few laps later as Travis Wright drove by Lacey into the second spot and Steven Littrell moved into third. Travis Wright pressured Maynard for the top honors and was able to take over the lead on lap 46.
Caution flew once more on lap 55 when Lacey spun his car. Pit stops by most drivers would shake up the field and RGRL newcomer Matthew Spinks found himself up front on the restart. Littrell soon took the point when Spinks slipped up the racetrack, while both Travis Wright and Aaron Maynard made it three wide through the corner.
Something had to give when Travis Wright bounced off of Maynard and into Spinks sending him hard into the outside wall and then airborne and upside down on the racetrack. Steve Wright was the biggest beneficiary of the incident as he somehow found his way through the mayhem and snuck into the third spot.
Littrell led as the race went green but had Maynard glued to his back bumper, Maynard would get to the inside of Litrell and the duo battled each other hard for the number one spot as they ran side by side, Maynard eventually cleared Littrell and had his sights set on victory with just 19 laps to go. Littrell had other ideas though and it was evident that he was not going to let Maynard too far out of his sight.
As the laps wound down Littrell began to put some late race pressure on the leader but Maynard was able to hold off Litrell for his third win in just three starts on the season! Littrell settled for second while Si Upton crossed the line in third, Travis Wright came home fourth and Danny Bigelow rounded out the top five.
The RGRL EZ Racesite.com Outlaw Late Model Series will attempt to tame the action packed short track Ace Speedway on Monday November 15, 2010.
